Summer Event 2019 An afternoon visit to Ewelme Village, for a guided tour of St Mary the Virgin Church, almshouses & school, followed by tea and cake

The Arts Society High Wycombe invites you to a Summer afternoon visit to Ewelme village, for a guided tour of St Mary the Virgin Church, almshouses & school, followed by tea and cake, on Wednesday, 10th July 2019, meeting at 2.00pm.

Independent travel to Ewelme (approx.19mls/30mins from High Wycombe vis M40 to J6 & B4009) meeting at the church by 2pm.You will be in one of 2 groups firstly having either a guided tour of the early 15thC church (inside and outside) or the cloistered almhouses/oldest primary school in England (outside only).The groups will meet in the church mid afternoon for tea & cake, and then visit the other area.

The afternoon is expected to end around 4.30pm.

Open to TASHW members with one guest, the cost for the guided tour & refreshments is £10pp.

Tickets will be available to buy at the 13th May and 10th June lectures.

Cheques or cash only please.

A £5pp donation will be made to St Mary the Virgin Church.

Limited parking is available in the village so we ask you to car share please if possible.The cloistered almhouses /school/toilets are accessed via a steep flight of approx 12 steps.There are no disabled toilets available.

In the event of bad or doubtful weather we shall still go ahead as cakes will have been baked!!

If you are forced to cancel, the committee can only guarantee to refund your money if someone else takes your place.
